About

Hi, I’m Nusrat, a Kashmiri engineer-turned-policy graduate from Columbia University, with a focus on economic and political development. I spend most of my time reading and discussing Kashmir with family and friends, so this blog is for my love of Kashmir and sharing with you commentary on issues of interest to me!
Here I will talk about education, economics, politics, policy making, human rights, gender, religion, humanness, and behavior prevalent inside Kashmir and stories of Kashmiris. Most importantly, I will provide my reactions to scholarly work available on Kashmir, and its strategic and geographic importance in the world. Kashmir issue being a multidimensional and a multi-stakeholder subject, I also hope to analyze various discourses around it.

I hope to comment on diverse perspectives on/ from Kashmir in a well thought-out manner based on facts, logic and reason. Where necessary, I hope to also raise questions related to certain concepts, notions, narratives, dogmas, online mis(dis)information and propaganda, false reasoning, doctored facts and so on to invoke further critical thinking.
